Shopping Centre, Tehran, Iran (DNA / J. Honhon) 1975-1978.

Private initiative for the development of a four-storey commercial complex with 7600m2, consisting of: First basement, 2200m2 parking. Second basement, 2200m2 workshop and warehouse. First floor, 2200m2 supermarket. Second floor, prestige restaurant and bar with 150 seats, executive offices. The designs were made in collaboration with an Iranian team of architects. Construction was executed by local labour. All equipment and furnishings were particularly designed to be prefabricated in Europe before being brought and installed by professional European labour. This project’s intention was to match the local traditional aesthetics with western materials and methodology.
